New XuniPlay version coming soon!

In December XuniPlay 3.8 will be released, with many important new features, already tested by a few privileged users during the last weeks.
This version is the result of the work of our development team over the past few months, and it implements the ideas inspired by the market and the suggestions of the increasingly large number of customers that express their appreciation for our integrated platform.

On November 15th, at the Auditorium San Paolo in Milan, Francesco Meneghetti, CEO of fabbricadigitale, took the stage of Telecom Italia to talk about the successful Banca Carige project.

During the event "Ecosystem and Cloud Partnership, for the success of the Italian Cloud", all the Top Partners of Telecom Italia met in the same Hall.

Inside the Hall, the Partners discussed issues relating to offerings and Partnership importance. The presence of our CEO on the stage proves the strong synergy between fabbricadigitale and Telecom Italia, a collaboration that has been lasting for years and that is more and more successful every day.

fabbricadigitale joined the Europe Partner Conference Nexcom 2011; Marco Orlandi, Product Manager of the Multimedia business Unit, and Attilio Bongiorni, Product Manager of the Transportation & Defense business Unit, met the other Nexcom European partners.

During the event, Nexcom introduced some new products which will be launched to the market and there were still some time left to discuss the future business strategies.

Some Case Studies relating to multimedia solutions have also been discussed; fabbricadigitale, with Xuniplay, presented the Italian high speed railway project, where Nexcom technologies have been used to manage multimedia contents.

After the conclusion of the event fabbricadigitale sets new goals for multimedia, also thanks to the good collaboration with a reliable partner

 

On September 20th and 21st fabbricadigitale will be at the Europe Partner Conference Nexcom 2011 in Düsseldorf, Germany.

During this two-day event, while Nexcom will anticipate the developments of the HW products dedicated to multimedia, partners will be asked to show and share their experience linked to the adoption of Nexcom technology.

During this important event fabbricadigitale will present its XunIplay multimedia solutions, which use Nexcom devices for the implementation of Digital Signage distributed systems and interactive Totems, as well as onboard systems for means of transport.

Particular attention will be given to Railway technology projects, for which fabbricadigitale has used Nexcom technology to install multimedia servers onboard for wi-fi and infotainment services to passengers on Italian high-speed trains.

Waiting for the revolutionary version 4.0, in the view of the constant improvement of Xuniplay, the version 3.7.3 is going to be released.
That version introduces not only a series of minor bug fixing but also new functionalities such as the optimized management of the flash contents characterized by changeable length.
There are, as well, further units of engine activated  that have been developed for the version 4.

The new version of Xuniplay will be available from April 20^th. This is a version which anticipates some important features of the major release scheduled for the coming months.

Xuniplay 3.7.2  has already integrated the new internal engine to manage the publishing and transfer of contents.

This release has also improved the control activities and real-time access to the display status, now accessible directly from the back office portal, the publishing reports have been optimized and the lists of the supported formats have been expanded.

On April 6th, at the Auditorium of Via Romagnosi in Milan, the CEO of Intesa Sanpaolo presented the business plan of the company to the stakeholders.

Telecom has chosen the XuniPlay technology to guarantee the real-time streaming of the event thanks to the WebTV module.

The use of special XuniPlay APPs made the event available not only for desktop platforms, but also for all the types of mobile devices.

fabbricadigitale lands to Innotrans, the world rail transport exhibition, proposing a verticalization of their product XuniPlay for transportation, in partnership with Selex-comms (a Finmeccanica Company); in particular it is aimed to bring Passenger Entertainment services and the Internet on board of the new Italian high-speed trains by the Ansaldo Breda – Bombardier team.

The prototypes of the Passenger Information System on IP monitor and of “On board Website” for personal devices  have been presented by the stand of Finmeccanica as Entertainment, Videosurveillance and board Telecommunications solutions by Selex-comms for the new trains Zefiro V-360

To achieve the non-stop upgrading of XuniPlay, while waiting for the revolutionary version 4.0, scheduled for the end of this year, version 3.7.1 is being released.

This version introduces, in addition to a series of minor bug fixing, some releases of new features such as:

It’s been integrated also the content protection with “Microsoft PlayReady”, leader technology for streaming encryption, and fabbricadigitale, with XuniPlay, is one of the few providers in the world qualified for the delivery according to the Service Provider model.

With the “Cdn Selector “ module of XuniPlay, particularly interesting for the world of broadcasting,  the logic of load distribution is performed over multiple POPs or CDNs (Content Delivery Network) interconnected and supported by XuniPlay (Akamai, Telecom Italia, Level3, Velocix, Internap).

Streaming³ > Live events by XuniPlay enabled the on-line transmission of the U.S.A Election Day, organized by Barabino&Partners.

 

From 10.30 pm on Thursday November the 4th till 1.30 am of Wednesday November 5th, businessmen, top managers, academicians and professionals, they all met at the headquarter of Barabino&Partners to discuss the economic, social and political effects of the American elections, with live contributions of political experts, economists and journalists.

The streaming of the event live from the Barabino&Partners headquarter and broadcasted on Class CBNC TV Channel from New York, London, Berlin and Rome, has been transmitted on the web sites www.barabino.it and www.xuniplay.com , thanks to the potentialities of the XuniPlay platform by fabbricadigitale.

XuniPlay for the streaming live of the 17 Diesel xXx Parties Planetary success for the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Diesel, which took place throughout the night between the 11th and the 12th of October in 17 cities around the globe. Great interest for the triumphal on-line live broadcast which has been a memorable happening in the history of live events broadcasting on the Net.

The DIESEL XXX Party event, on the 11th of October 2008, will be: 18 hours of live happening in 17 locations all over the world, with the same number of local directions connected, by satellite, to the Central Direction in Milan, for the contemporaneous on-line broadcast.
Four media are employed for the Central Direction: satellite, for broadcast direction, encoding and injection of the signals in the global distribution network; and four different balanced delivery networks, for the transmission of the live signal to the main WebTV channels.
18 live signals will be broadcasted and available on-line simultaneously, thanks to the employment of the XuniPlay platform.

The real time spreading of the multimedia contents by Il Corriere della Sera e La Gazzetta dello Sport has begun on the monitors installed in the famous editorial headquarters of the two dailies, on Via Solferino in Milan. The Outdoor Tv has been realized with the Digital Signage feature of XuniPlay, in partnership with Nec Philips.

For the first time the Town Council of Vicenza has been broadcasted on-line. It can be seen on the Web Tv of the institutional Internet site, which has been realized thanks to the Webcasting feature of the suite Streaming3-Xuniplay, in partnership with Telecom Italia.

The virtual bank branches have been opened by the Unipol Group in the offices of: Guastalla (RE), Ferrara, Chiavari (GE), Frattamaggiore (NA), Acerra (NA), Bologna, Ravenna, Ceccano (FR), Castelfranco(TV), Capriolo (VS), Gallarate (VA), Cuorgnè (TO).

For the realization of the bank branches (in partnership with Telecom Italia) have been used some features of the XuniPlay platform (Digital Signage, In-store Radio, Kiosk), and the XuniPlay SDK Framework in a XuniPoint environment has been used to allow the administration of the whole branch.
